The Ace of Cups – Serenity Now!
Let’s look at the Tarot cards!
I have been reading the Tarot for many years and it has offered a lot of self-reflection and insight for me. Plus one or two eerily accurate and specific predictions.
I have a modest collection of around twenty decks including a couple of interesting antique decks. Watch a video about one of them that I made here if you are curious to see it.
Today I have out my Smith-Waite Centennial deck and we are looking at……the Ace of Cups!

A dove, a cup, a fountain, an Escher-like disembodied hand. The hand has a very subtle halo of short rays around it which I have just now noticed after decades of staring at these cards! You just never know.
Today this card is a reflection of my mood–serenely happy. It’s a spring day after a long winter and I am off work today. I have a meal in my stomach, a roof over my head, and a dishwasher that works. The sun is coming in through the window, and as far as I can tell, the cat is done puking.
There are a lot of parts to the image on this card; the dove with the wafer in its beak, the goblet, the hand, the fountain. Everything is in place to work together to fill the pool. The pool is calm.
The typical interpretation of this card is something like “the beginning of love” whatever that means. But as I contemplate it now, it shows that things have come together–YOU brought this, and now some measure of peace and calm are the result.
Have a fantabulous day.
